SEO Optimization & Local Visibility

Get Google to show you when someone searches "your service + your city", not only once they already know your name. Technical SEO, content and Google Business Profile — no promises of a #1 ranking in seven days.

In short: technical SEO comes with every site I build. As a standalone service it's done on existing sites — a free analysis first, then a prioritized plan, then the work. Results are measured in months, not days.

Why local SEO is decisive for small businesses

A client in Banja Luka looking for a plumber isn't going to scroll through ten pages of results. They'll type "plumber Banja Luka", glance at the map and the first three results, and call one of them. If you're not there, you don't exist for that client — no matter how long you've been in business or how good you are.

That's also the good news: competition at the local level is much lower than for generic terms. A properly done Google Business Profile and a site Google can actually read take you further than most people expect.

What I actually do

1. Technical SEO

  • Load speed and Core Web Vitals — slow doesn't rank, and slow loses visitors before the page even finishes loading.
  • Structure of titles, title tags and descriptions — one unique pair for every page.
  • Structured data (schema) — so Google knows you're a local business, where you are and what you offer.
  • Sitemap, robots.txt, canonical URLs, proper 404s and redirects.
  • Security and HTTPS, correct server headers, submission to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

2. Google Business Profile

  • Setting up or taking over the profile, verification, the correct business category.
  • Consistent info (name, address, phone) everywhere — inconsistency is one of the most common reasons for weak local visibility.
  • Photos, hours, services, and a plan for asking for reviews without it feeling like a chore.

3. Content that answers real questions

  • A dedicated page for every service, instead of one page that tries to cover everything.
  • Local pages for the cities you actually serve.
  • Answers to the questions clients ask over the phone anyway — that's the easiest content to write and the most useful for search.

What I don't do

I don't buy backlinks and I don't submit sites to hundreds of worthless directories. That used to work; today it carries a penalty risk and burns a budget that would be better spent on content. I don't promise a #1 ranking — nobody credible can, because rank depends on competition, and we don't control that.

How long until you see results

Indexing a new site takes a few days to two weeks. Movement on local terms usually starts showing after two to three months, and for more competitive terms count on six months of consistent work. Technical fixes work fastest — a site that loaded in five seconds and now loads in one changes visitor behavior immediately, without waiting on Google.

How we start

Send the link to your existing site and within 48 hours you get a free analysis: what's slowing it down, what it looks like on a phone, what Google can't read, and three things you can fix right away, without me. If you'd rather I handle it, that's when we talk about a quote.

Questions

Frequently asked about SEO

How fast does a site show up on Google?
Indexing takes a few days to two weeks after submission to Google Search Console. Ranking for competitive terms is a different story — realistically two to six months with consistent work on content and local profiles.
Do I need SEO if I already have a Google Business Profile?
The profile gets you into the map and local results, which for many businesses is the most important channel. But a client who finds you on the map usually clicks through to the site before calling. If the site loads slowly or doesn't answer their question, the profile did its job for nothing. The two work together.
Do you do SEO on a site you didn't build?
Yes, that's the most common case. You don't need a new site to fix your SEO. If it turns out the existing site is technically bad enough that fixing it costs more than a rebuild, I'll tell you that directly instead of billing months of work on a foundation that doesn't hold up.
How much does SEO cost?
Basic technical SEO is included in website development. For existing sites, the price depends on the analysis findings — sometimes it's a single fix worth a few hundred KM, sometimes ongoing content work. The analysis is free, and only after it does it make sense to talk numbers.
